Live Patch: World Bosses, Co-Op Parties, Multiplayer Updates (v2.0.0-beta.6050)

Every weeks seems to be a big week and this one is no exception. The first World Boss has arrived, multiplayer can finally queue together in joint jobs and the War Table grew into a real command table with briefings, threat clocks and rivals on the march.

A cleanup patch after a big week ahead of tomorrow's Live patch, mostly fixes from your reports on the last beta. Surface Breaches now give you a warning weeks ahead, World Boss drops finally arrive with a proper card and every party card shows its chemistry.

FEATURES Battle Reports Every battle report has a new look and falls inline with the Weekly Reports in terms of look and feel.

FEATURES World Bosses The World Boss system is now live and joins the World Events pool. I New World Boss event: "The River Hilt Burns". For a full year the Ashen Stag holds the River Hilt and you climb its ladder on the War Table.

The menacing impact of the Tower is felt across the realm without relent and the strongest forces below Floor 90 have been taking liberties with the natural life bloom of Irda to push their unending agenda.

Live Patch: Factions Rework Is Live (v2.0.0-beta.5674)

TL;DR HIGHLIGHTS • Factions 3.0 is live: the Factions tab is now a fully operational wire where the Factions of Hiltcrest send Requests and each leader has a story of their own.

Sneaking in a couple fixes and features before tomorrow's weekly Live Patch! This beta makes the hero Dossier a place you can work from: gear, repairs and Training Focus without leaving it and camp scenes show where you stand with a hero before you answer (and can be

The next generation of the Factions is now on Beta. The previous system has been gutted and rebuilt. While many things you know have stuck, the depth is about 30x huger. Settings has one new customizable Alerts tab for every popup the game opens on its own.

FEATURES Map & Combat Protective actives now cast properly in battle. Taunt, Sanctuary, Wall of Steel and the other shield, immunity and damage-reduction actives used to have no move on the battle map and only added to party power.

This one is mostly about fewer clicks. You all know my biggest battle is too many screens and too many steps, so some good progress is here this week: a party's training and automation now live in one place, End Week can fold its popups into the summary and the War Table another

A quick late-night hotfix for the homies. Never-Ending Patience is deathless now, as promised. Runs already in progress update automatically. AS YOU WERE

Major Live Patch: Surface Breaches, Challenge Mode, Soul Magic, Skill Tiers

Patch Notes: v2.0.0-beta.5363 (Live) This is the biggest single Live patch I have pushed since the launch of V2 and holy moly is there a lot going on.

Snuck in some bug fixes and polish tonight ahead of tomorrow's Live patch. Also, you can now put heroes on a Reserve bench so no automatic pick ever grabs them.

This is another big one. The War Table has been redrawn from the ground up into a hand-painted map of the frontier and you can now give orders right on it.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ FEATURES ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ Challenge Runs • Challenge Runs arrive on the main menu, just under New Game. Each challenge sets its own rules and goal, stays open for good and starts any time with Take the Challenge.

New Major Feature: Surface Breach - a high risk, high difficulty World Event

I am very excited for this feature to see the light of day and it is live now on Beta (on Live next Wednsday). Surface Breaches were originally designed as the first playable DLC for GT1 and introduce new mechanics, new lore, new storylines, and new features. But!

New Feature: Challenge Runs - Thematic Scenarios with Parameters Chosen by Me ;)

Challenge Runs are here! Hand-built challenges with their own rules and their own goal, ready to play from the main menu whenever you like. Every win earns a title, a badge, a letter from the Sage, and super fancy banner that lives on the new home screen.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ FEATURES ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ Markets: the Counting-House Markets now has six tabs: Exchange, Guilds, Vendors, Outfitter, Ledger and Orders. In Multiplayer, there is a League tab as well.

Live Patch: World Events, Early Rapport System, Turbo Bugs (v2.0.0-beta.4866)

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ FEATURES ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ The big ticket item this week (and likely next week as well) is the Goblin Siege World Event.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ FEATURES ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ Goblin Siege The siege muster has an Expand button. It opens a movable, resizable window with every host card in a grid, so the map stays usable.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ BUG FIXES ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ The Goblin Siege The gate has a name now · the Harbor, North, East or West Gate — and the town remembers which ones have fallen.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ BUG FIXES ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ Academy & Recruiting Sorting the Academy Prospects board by Traits, Category, or Years to Graduation now orders by the value the column actually shows, instead of quietly doing nothing or sorting by

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ FEATURES ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ The Goblin Warband Siege More refinement and polish here! This is pretty much my main focus this weekend, I think. Once this working as intended, all of the subsequent World Events will fall into place.

I wanted to get hotfix up asap to the Live version to fix a crash players were hitting when equipping Gear. That is fixed and there are some extra goodies along with it ;) ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ BUG FIXES ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ The Gear tab no longer crashes

Live Patch: The New CCL Is Here

The CCL has been core to the annual experience in GT1, but it was one of the first systems I designed and over time piled up a good amount of tech debt and, frankly, felt outdated.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ BUG FIXES ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ The Gold Investment Fund's +25% now reaches every income source it should · quest gold, loot and material sales, trade profit, crafting commissions, and faction-vendor passive income were all silently

The CCL Rework is now on Beta!

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ BUG FIXES ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ Crown Cup & Tower Winning your Crown Cup bout now crowns you.

Live Patch: World Events Are Here (v2.0.0-beta.4182)

Each week seems to be coming with new and exciting features that have been a long-time coming, this week's is World Events.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ BUG FIXES ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ Combat & Watch board Hex Battles now work on multiplayer quest results, matching raids and single-player.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ FEATURES ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ World Events are now live. This is a very large system that touches everything and has a lot of infrastructure, so I am just launching a few simple World Events to start to ensure they hit.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ FEATURES ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ Now that the Hex Battle System is up and ripping, I am pushing to make Tower bosses a bit more moar.

Friday Live Patch: v2.0.0-beta.4068

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ FEATURES ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ The Tower Muster I received a bunch of great feedback this week after the new Tower Loadout launched on Wednesday that folks missed being able to group by parties. So!

Live Patch: New Tower Loadout, Custom Sandbox Settings, and the Book is on Steam

Patch Notes: v2.0.0-beta.4029 (Live)

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ FEATURES ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ Tower Send a scout below your front line to chart the floors ahead of you.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ FEATURES ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ The Tower Descent Oookay, the new Tower loadout process is now up for Beta players. This feature is still in the works, so I am 1000% looking for input, requests, and wishlist items.

Surprise Friday Live Patch: v2.0.0-beta.3938 (Live)

The Tactician's Desk arrives — Doctrine and Formations now guide every fight, including the Tower — alongside a major Tower rebalance, plus a big hex-battle performance pass.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ FEATURES ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ The Tactician's Desk I've been teasing for quite some time that the Tactician was going to become a star cornerstone of your guild someday, and that day is today.

Major Update: New Hex Battle System, New Engine, New Math (v2.0.0-beta.3873)

All battle content now resolves on the fancy new hex battle system. New engine, new visuals, all new math.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ BUG FIXES ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ Battle Reports & Replays An adventurer the fight left injured, or retired near-death, no longer shows 0 damage taken. Their debrief line is floored at the health they actually lost.

──────────────────────── NEW FEATURES ──────────────────────── - Clicking any staff portrait opens a mini-dossier · level, tier and skill, current task with progress, wage, contract years and experience bar — with an Open Dossier button that jumps straight to the staff record.

──────────────────────── NEW FEATURES ──────────────────────── Range Changes Heads up that I just pushed an update to class attack ranges yesterday and ended up actually really disliking the feel and balance impact today during testing, so I reverted those changes.

──────────────────────── NEW FEATURES ──────────────────────── CCL Duels (Early ELO System) - Guild standings gain a sortable ELO column, and your division header shows your rating and rank tier beside it.

──────────────────────── NEW FEATURES ──────────────────────── Reserved Deployments - Reserve a raid or a Tower descent while your parties are still in the field: pick the full formation, and the reservation holds those parties off every automated path · quest and contract

──────────────────────── NEW FEATURES ──────────────────────── Multiplayer Trading - Multiplayer trading with other guildmasters now lives in Markets under a new League tab.

Holy moly there is a lot going on with Gargadusa right now. So much, in fact, that I'm going to skip Live patch today so that the Beta can get some more miles before I flip the switch. I know, I know. I'd usually just rip it, but I am growing as a person.

──────────────────────── NEW FEATURES ──────────────────────── The Battle Engine After 10 weeks of building a new battle engine and slowly sneaking the backend logic into the game over the last month, it's now ready for beta play.

Live Patch: Dwarves, Patrols, Automation, Key Economy Fixes (v2.0.0-beta.3569)
