Observe 0.8.3: Weekly Challenges

A new scenario every week and a fairer Lead Mode.

Observe 0.8.2: God Mode Follows the Map

Control whole alliances, ideologies and peoples, plus new settings and fixes.

Hello again. This update adds history graphs to the ledger and lets you edit a map without losing the scenario you’re working on. I also fixed a few bugs and made the built-in 2025 scenario harder to accidentally overwrite. Added history graphs to the ledger.

Observe 0.8.0: THE ULTIMATE GRAND STRATEGY SANDBOX!

Hello all! Observe began with a simple rule: the world moves without you. Countries build, fight, make peace and fall apart while you watch.

Observe 0.7.8: Save Games, Combat Rules and More God Mode Tools

Hello all! This update adds save games, reusable rule profiles, more control over combat and new ways to change the world through God Mode. Save a world and return later You can now save a running world and continue it later from the Scenario Editor.

Observe 0.7.6: Map Composer and New Map Modes

Hello all! This update makes the map more useful by letting you choose both what it shows and how that information is presented. Build your own map view The new Map Composer combines three separate choices: a base map, optional overlays and country labels.

Observe 0.7.5: Quality of Life

Hello all! Observe 0.7.5 is now available. This update adds better tools for recording the world, reusable ideology packs and much clearer feedback for AI Studio scripts. Choose what appears on screen Press H during a game to open the new Timeline View panel.

Observe 0.7.4: Better Graphics!

Hello all! This update gives the world map a new visual style and adds another set of improvements to the Map Editor. A new look for the world The political map now uses one sharp pixel grid instead of thousands of separate region images.

Hello all! This is a smaller update focused on making the new Map Editor easier to use and much safer for large projects. More ways to draw The Map Editor now includes straight boundaries with a live preview and a one-pixel pen for detailed work.

Observe 0.7.2: Draw Your Own World!

Hello all! Observe 0.7.2 is now available. The main feature is something I have been asked about for a very long time: a complete custom Map Editor inside the game.

Hello all! I have released a small update focused almost entirely on performance. Performance improvements A few calculations that looked harmless were doing far more work than intended once countries became extremely large.

Observe 0.7.1: Better Wars, Smarter Empires & UI Scaling

Hello all! 0.7.1 is built mostly from the things people asked for after playing 0.7.0. It adds interface scaling, more control over ideologies, better subject information, stricter naval AI rules, a new Bloc map mode and several fixes for the simulation underneath them.

The 0.7.0 update had a progressive lag issue. Now fixed, game might even run better than ever. As always thanks for all the support and sorry for the lag!

Observe 0.7.0: Cultures, God Mode, Terrain, Food & Subjects

Hello all! This update started with cultures. I wanted a country to contain actual peoples rather than one population number and I wanted those people to matter when borders moved. That sounded like one system.

Hello again, Sorry to spam these updates but someone on Discord found a bug regarding the ideologies caused by yesterday's behaviour update. Basically, the AI didn't pick any ideologies before a war was declared. Now that's fixed.

Observe 0.6.10: AI Personalities & Frontline Settings & Arena Fix

Hello all! This update starts with an apology. If you entered a script into the Arena, changed it and tried to send the better version, the arena kept showing your old one. There was no way to replace it.

-AI Studio Frontline bug fixed. -AI Studio Reset bug fixed. -Someone in comments asked for a Forever War concept, it can be found in the rulesets now. -Ideology bonuses now range from -100 to 100. -New achievements and an easter egg hunt added. -Wars now have ambient audio.

Observe 0.6.9: Flags!

It's all about flags today! And some bug fixes and some QoL!

Hi, I fixed some of the bugs that were brough to my attention. Scenario Editor population fields were wrongfully limited to 100M. Fixed. Disabling nukes didn't do anything in many cases. Now they should be disabled. Some UI interactions caused the WASD keys to not work.

Observe 0.6.8: Frontline Visuals!

Wars are now drawn on the map! Watch troops, tanks and planes fight on dynamic frontlines.

Observe 0.6.7: Scenario Editor & Nuke Controls & UI & Live Country Creation

Until now every scenario played by the same rules. From this update, you choose them.

Hello again, Two bug fixes and 8 new achievements for today! Scenario Editor: publishing a scenario didn't upload the screenshot with it. Now it does. AI Studio: publishing a script was uploading a placeholder image instead of your code. It now grabs an actual screenshot.
