Black Cat Book Club patch notes & updates

Fixed a Focus bug caused by replaying the tutorial

An explanation of how alchemy works can be found in the Guide under Currencies and under Magic. Changed text and added tips to the alchemy tab. Damage Multiplier is now Study Amount Multiplier, like everywhere else.

Spell casting and auto-casting related bug fixing. You can now cast a spell manually even if its sigil is on screen and about to be cast. (Auto-cast spells have lesser effects but don't consume mana)

The alchemy tab now displays permanently info on Unstable First Matter decay and global First matter damage multiplier.

Thanks to the splendid work of a kind Turkish player, we can now play the game in Turkish! Thank you, Melike

An alchemy tip will tell the player when to check out the Alchemy tab and activate the second step, which is necessary to advance.

Artifacts can now be swapped with other artifacts; a pop-up will ask if you want to move them or sell them. Fixes for displays in portrait mode

Astral Glyphs currency gain, as well as Astral books' cost and length, have been rebalanced.

Birds and thunder background sounds have been added. They can be toggled in Settings - Audio

Players from Korea, Thailand, and Poland can enjoy the game in their language now! Players can now toggle auto-casting on and off if they have acquired the ability to auto-cast spells.

Global spell duration upgrades now work properly (it was affecting the wrong variable) Several artefacts' shard IDs were being replaced or disappearing; this no longer happens Mercury: Fixed Mercury pushing study speed past its limit (and decreasing its bonus multiplier) Shelf

The fireplace light was too orange and bright, making some customization options not really shine because of it. It's now whiter and less bright. The armchair's color is also darker; this is to increase contrast with the cat. Other minor QoL and bug fixes.

The mana Chalice now appears on each floor close to the kitty

Artifact IDs were getting mixed up and disappearing on the next load; they are now correctly stored and loaded and can be moved to new spots without issues. The game now has cloud saves for those who play on more than one computer!

This patch addresses the main issue of lag and crashes on computers with an AMD graphics card. I will keep working on optimization since it's still not a particularly light game for being a desktop companion, due to the number of textures and 3D models.

You can now toggle the fireplace and rain ambient sounds from Audio settings. More coming soon

Today's the day!
