● Optimized the chunk generation system. It now takes advantage of brief windows when the player opens the UI or stands still to generate distant chunks, minimizing stutter from loading/generating chunks while moving.
● Fixed a bug where small trees and low vegetation occasionally disappeared from view and then immediately reappeared. ● Fixed a bug where ladders could not be placed on the concrete supports under the rails.
● Completely reworked the map system. It can now be zoomed out very far, and dragging it is very smooth. However, in old saves, areas where the fog of war has already been revealed require the player to run there before that area's map is permanently generated.
● Added automatic calculation of the recommended value for the committed memory setting, making it easier for players to adjust. If this setting is too low, it can cause the game to crash.
● Fixed a bug that caused "movement jitter" on high-end PCs. This bug had been fixed before, but a patch that fixed other issues accidentally caused it to reappear. It has now been fixed again.
● Based on player feedback, game crashes are very likely caused by low Commit memory (RAM + page file). Now, when this value is detected as too low, a prompt will automatically pop up and tell you the specific steps to adjust it.
● Added auto-snapping for curved Tracks, and you can now switch a curved Track between turning left and right with a single press of Q/E.
● Fixed an issue where loading a game save would throw an error after uninstalling a new Perk mod. ● Fixed a bug reported by a player that could cause the game to crash.
● Fixed a bug where trains would teleport.
● Completely fixed the occasional "disco" light spot visual bug that appeared after enabling "High Quality Global Illumination." ● Added a "Ghost Zombie" self-healing system. The next time this issue occurs, it will automatically attempt a fix and pop up an error log.
● Added third-person looting and pickup animations. ● Arrows now have a trail effect, making it a bit easier to hit targets.
● You can now hook multiple train chassis together. The total mass and Output in the bottom right will now automatically show the combined totals for all connected trains. ● The train feature is done. Next, we'll continue working on the merchant system.
● When building tracks, two concrete pillars are now automatically generated underneath, which means you can quickly build an elevated high-speed railway between two mountain peaks. ● You can now drive a train while laying tracks as you move forward.
● Optimized the ladder system again; you should no longer suddenly fall off ladders. You'll also stick to ladders better when climbing down. ● Fixed a bug where bullets from certain rifles would fail at a specific firing angle when hip-firing.
● Fixed a bug where vehicles would teleport. ● Fixed a bug where the character's pose was abnormal when sitting on a vehicle. ● Fixed a bug where wall collision detection for the camera did not work when sitting on a vehicle.
● Fixed an issue where the zombie running animation swayed too much from side to side.
● New feature · Railroad Track System (Mechanical Workbench). Players can lay their own tracks, build a train chassis on them and freely expand it. Track switching is supported, and tracks can even be laid as roller coaster tracks.
● Fixed the continuous stuttering that occurred while the player was moving. This fix is significantly effective; now only occasional minor stutters occur. However, this change causes all model packages to change, so this update is still very large.
Note: This update adjusts certain data structures to support the upcoming merchant system, so the file size is very large (future content updates will not be this large).
● Pressing R to pick up a death backpack now automatically equips the gear the character was wearing at death and restores items placed in the hotbar. Different death drop settings have been taken into account.
● You can now right-click to "upgrade" armor, melee weapons, guns, and other items to higher quality. ● Fixed the bug where "Stone Skin" was ineffective. ● In first-person, holding the right mouse button now enters scope/iron sights mode.
Note: This update involves changes to many systems (various models reference these systems), so the update size is huge. If you do not wish to update, you can right-click the game icon in your Steam library, and switch to the "prior_working_version" branch (this version will be
● Fixed a bug where nearby chunks would not load after dragging the map. ● Fixed a bug where closing the map caused strange post-processing effects and screen scaling issues. ● Fixed a bug where right-clicking on the map could not place flag markers.
● Fixed a bug where splitting items and then placing them into the hotbar to merge with existing items would prevent entering build mode. ● Fixed a bug where the vehicle F2 window could not be closed. ● Fixed a bug where the Architect perk could infinitely duplicate torches.
● The game will now automatically detect whether Steam's incremental update system has corrupted game files. When detected, a prompt will appear informing players how to fix the issue.
● Fixed a bug that caused the game's framerate to suddenly drop below 10 FPS (multiple VRAM leaks). ● Fixed a bug where the pickaxe occasionally failed to mine a targeted block.
● Fixed a bug caused by the previous update patch – backpacks dropped upon death contained no items. Items lost due to this bug will reappear after this update. ● Fixed a bug where zombies could not be hit.
● Fixed a bug where the pickaxe occasionally hit the rock above it instead of the target; now the pickaxe will 100% perfectly hit where you aim. ● Fixed a bug where items from the old workbench appeared in the new workbench.
● Added to the error log: error code line numbers, auto‑hide of the upper‑left notification when the error window is closed, and duplicate errors will now only be shown once. ● Removed the character limit for custom storage box labels; you can now freely use colored tags.
● Added an automatic error reporting log system. If any error occurs in the game, a prompt will appear in the upper‑left corner of the screen. Press F8 to open the error log interface, where you can copy the log text and send it to us for analysis.
● Fixed a bug where occasionally neither the player could hit zombies nor zombies could hit the player (due to difficulty in reproducing, the fix was made solely through code analysis; actual player testing is still needed for verification).
● Fixed a critical bug – there was an edge case in the system that was not considered, which could rarely cause the save data of buildings constructed by players on a certain plot to be deleted incorrectly, resulting in the base disappearing when players returned to base or
● Fixed the bug where, after character death, if the respawn point was very far away, the dropped backpack would fail to load correctly. ● Fixed the bug where players returning to base from another biome would find that underground caves they had dug were covered by terrain.
● Significantly improved the hit accuracy of attacks using stone axes, stone pickaxes, and iron pickaxes. Now the crosshair points exactly to the hit location, and attacks will no longer hit rocks, buildings, or other objects behind you.
● Fixed a bug where vehicles would appear several kilometers away after loading a save. (Vehicles that have already appeared far away can only be driven back; we are very sorry.) ● Fixed a bug where a vehicle was right in front of you but failed to load.
● Rewrote the rain particle system; now using a custom particle collision detection system, which improves performance during rain. ● Fixed the bug where rain particles would appear deep underground. ● You can now turn off the "Screen Raindrops" effect in "Game Settings".
● In the main menu scene, clicking the "Workshop" button will open a brand new Mod browser, allowing you to install, delete, and update Mods with one click. No more tedious manual installation as before.
