Maldhalla patch notes & updates

2.2.1 — Day 12 Update

Field chest prices now rise on one smooth curve from the start of a run. Bosses find their way around walls and no longer stack big moves, and you can now walk with the mouse.

2.1.0 — Thorn Knight Update

The Thorn Knight takes on bosses with Thorn Explosion and parries. Unlocks are reworked so weapons and characters open sooner, and the Bone Dragon and Plague Tide change.

2.0.1 — Season 2 "Lockdown" Update

Season 2 "Lockdown" has begun. From 33:00 bosses show up at random, the Lockdown alarm sounds in the Old Prison, and the first Season Challenge opens.

1.7.0 — Day 10 Update

The Soul Shop opens in the title menu. Spend the Souls you have collected on skins, Name colors and the Jukebox.

1.6.0 — Day 9 Update

Seven relics are reworked, and the Assassin's Shadow Strike now holds your thrown daggers in mid-air and lets them all fly at once.

1.5.0 — Day 8 Update

The Range stat is gone, and there are two new gems and a Vortex relic rework.

1.4.0 — Day 7 Update

Long runs stutter far less, and there is a new Ancient Warrior variant and a new relic, Powder Chain.

1.3.0 — Day 6 Update

War Hammer remake: it smashes the way you move and strikes once per projectile in a quick chain.

1.2.0 — Day 5 Update

Boss fight walls are gone. Every boss now carries its own barrier that moves with it.

Fixed an issue where walking bosses passed through walls.

Added the new Perdition difficulty, and bosses now chase you around walls.

Fixed projectiles appearing to vanish near walls, and polished shrines and controller controls

Eased the Coffin Siege, and saved runs now carry over through updates

Runs you give up on now count toward achievements, unlocks and the leaderboard

Changes based on your feedback

Enraged bosses, a redesigned skill pick screen, new season tiers and far less late-run lag

Fixed the Discord button on the title screen opening an expired invite.

Update 0.54.0: The Old Prison and Leaderboard Replays

We made a second map, the Old Prison, and it comes with the full launch on October 16. You can also watch replays from the leaderboard.

Update 0.53.0: An easier start and better performance

Fewer monsters in the BIG WAVE at 2:00 and 4:30, and the demo gets the Knife and two more relics. A cap on monsters alive at once keeps the frame rate steadier.

Pre-launch update roundup

Bosses, the dungeon and the big moments got a lot of work. Try it all in the demo before launch!

Update 0.52.0: An easier start and reworked bosses

The first 10 minutes were too hard for new players, so fewer monsters swarm you at once. Bosses are tougher, show all their patterns, and drop big EXP gems.
