World Climate Lab 0.1.11: Energy Flow, Red & White Dwarfs and Simplified Chinese
ADDED White dwarfs. Old enough stars now end their lives as white dwarfs: set a star's starting mass and age and watch it cool. Simplified Chinese. The whole game is now available in Simplified Chinese, alongside Traditional Chinese.
Fixed Worlds no longer freeze over at around 5% of the settle when the first year starts far from balance. Tidally locked worlds no longer get far too much rain under their sun. Big storms now build thick, bright cloud tops that shade the ground, as real storms do.
Climate Model choice on the welcome screen and in Settings. Fast is the model you had; Detailed adds the deep ocean and takes three to four times longer to settle. Settle starts from the world’s own star, tilt and orbit.
World Climate Lab 0.1.8 update
World Climate Lab 0.1.8 update
ADDED Export Climate Data saves every climate map as numbers rather than colours, for analysis and for other software: temperature, precipitation, rainfall, snowfall, soil water, snow and ice cover and elevation, yearly and month by month, plus the land mask and the climate
Spell check
World Climate Lab 0.1.6 Added Framed exports can name each climate zone in the key as well as give its code, for anyone who doesn't know the codes. Turn on "Show climate names in the key" in the Export window.
Fix for rough maps and long settles no longer grow stripes, and Earth's climate zones match the real world a bit better.
Added support for a commonly known laptop bug affecting games, esp in regards to sound. added a flip for drag direction in settings
Simulation now pauses Stars are once again correctly calculated and fitted to real data tooltip misreading fixed
World Climate Lab 0.1.2 - The Living Climate Update
World Climate Lab now runs the same kind of physics as academic models run.
Climate simulation Corrected an equatorial moisture-budget error that allowed small seas and lakes to sustain rainfall across unrealistically large tropical regions.
Two intensive days of climate model development and tuning (With lack of sleep), interface polish, localisation, and release preparation have brought the improved atmospheric model into the main build.
Patch list Settings, accessibility, and performance Added a dedicated Settings menu for interface size, language, GPU load, and simulation rate. Preferences are saved between sessions. Interface scaling can now be set from 100% to 200%.
Fix list: Orbital displays now account for eccentricity when animating planets, moons, and binary stars. Orbiting bodies now accelerate toward periapsis and slow toward apoapsis, following Kepler's second law.
This update focuses particularly on crashes and freezes reported on integrated and lower-powered graphics hardware. Changes include: Automatic detection of integrated and lower-powered GPUs. A reduced-load Integrated GPU Mode to lower graphics-memory pressure.
